Día de los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead, is a two day holiday that unites the living and the dead. Bring pictures, flowers and mementos to place on the Ofrenda, an alter, to honor those that have passed on. This holiday celebrates both death and life and is a celebration! There will be music and dancing and a live performance, along with some crafts for the kids and sugar skulls as a sweet treat! Refreshments will be served. Advanced registration is required. Lincolnwood Fire Department Open House
Join the Lincolnwood Fire Department for a fun and educational afternoon for all ages. Learn about fire safety, meet your local firefighters, and explore real fire trucks and equipment up close. District 1860 Fall Festival

Soup Group: City of Hope
Soup Group is a community-driven event where neighbors share homemade soups, foster connections, and support the Niles Township Food Pantry. Each Soup Group gathering features one or more community chefs who cook two shareable soups, with a vegetarian soup always included. Proceeds and leftover soup from each event go directly to helping our neighbors experiencing hunger and housing instability, making it a delicious way to give back!
Kicking off the second season of Soup Group, a community meal and fundraiser for the Niles Township Food Pantry.
The first Soup Group of the season welcomes Lisa Kaplan, Community Relations Manager with City of Hope Cancer Care, as the featured community chef. Lisa will be bringing her creativity and warmth to the kitchen, helping us start this season on a delicious note.
All proceeds from Soup Group benefit the Niles Township Food Pantry.

Planners, Pours, & Posse
Planners, Pours, and Posse is a family-focused evening designed especially for event planners to unwind and connect alongside their loved ones. The event invites planners to bring their entire posse for a laid-back evening of fun and creativity in a vibrant taproom setting. With Laine Too sponsoring an activation station, the event adds a personal, hands-on element that allows parents and kids to bond in a memorable way. Linda Bouvilom of the Lincolnwood Chamber of Commerce and Luxe Play Oasis will be speaking on planning the perfect event with kids in mind.
The experience also includes "indoor curling" for the Dads & Lads, creating a playful, team-oriented activity for families to enjoy together. Adults can also enjoy a curated selection of "Pours" (21+ only), at Fatpour Tapworks.
This combination of curated family activities and casual hospitality makes the event a perfect opportunity for event planners to network, relax, and create meaningful connections in the industry in a fun and informal environment.

Four Seasons in Lincolnwood
Join the Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra for Four Seasons in Lincolnwood, a free community concert celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. The program features Astor Piazzolla’s Four Seasons (arranged by Leonid Desyatnikov) alongside works by Ponce, Villa-Lobos, and Ginastera. Violinist Desirée Ruhstrat and Music Director Philip Simmons lead this vibrant performance, bringing audiences an afternoon of dynamic music that spans cultures and seasons.

Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation presents Touch a Truck on Sunday, September 14 from 12:30–3 pm at District 1860. Explore fire engines, dump trucks, police cars, and more. Sensory-friendly time runs 12:30–1 pm.
