Cooking & Connections: BBQ Edition Fires Up Community at District 1860
The Lincolnwood Chamber of Commerce hosted another memorable evening with its Cooking & Connections BBQ Edition, held at the Lincoln Room inside District 1860.
This edition brought out the best of barbecue with two standout dishes: smoky, tender BBQ ribs prepared by Makin’ It with Mark, and flavorful BBQ chicken tikka made by his sous chef Amina. Guests were treated to an evening of savory flavors, with Mark’s slow-cooked ribs and Amina’s aromatic chicken tikka offering a delicious balance of tradition and creativity.
Beyond the menu, the evening highlighted what Cooking & Connections is all about: building relationships. Attendees gathered over plates of barbecue, engaged in lively conversations, and celebrated the simple power of sharing a meal. The event served as a reminder that strong communities grow when people come together to connect, collaborate, and enjoy each other’s company.
